Graphic Designer - Awareness, Events, and Media
Any Major, Any Year
Who We Are
Genesis enables UT Austin student innovators and leaders to reach their greatest potential by providing them with mentorship, startup capital, and real-world investment experience. We have raised over $1.8M to achieve this mission and are growing our team in order to multiply our impact on the UT entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Your Team - Awareness, Events and Media
Awareness of our brand, operations, and impact is a top priority for Genesis. A widespread brand will help us attract the best student entrepreneurs and investors. Events, Awareness and Media team members are responsible for creating world-class events and content for the UT Austin community. We measure ourselves by the number of new community members we engage with Genesis. It’s our responsibility to maintain Genesis brand standards in all aspects of our operations.
Genesis is structured to take advantage of the 80/20 rule, whereby 20% of each team member’s time is spent outside of their assigned project area on initiatives that both are both high impact and of personal interest to the team member. In other words, you’ll also have 20% of your time to explore new projects within Genesis.
Your Role - Content Manager
In order to grow our brand and community, Genesis must consistently share high quality content in the form of social media and blog posts. You’ll use your graphic design skills to create raw, unique Genesis content to promote Genesis events, programs, and The Forty Acres startup culture as a whole. Feedback is your friend, and you are ready to develop multiple iterations of each design to ensure world-class content.
