Associate - Portfolio Management

Any Major, Any Year

Who We Are

Genesis enables UT Austin student innovators and leaders to reach their greatest potential by providing them with mentorship, startup capital, and real-world investment experience. We have raised over $1.8M to achieve this mission and are growing our team in order to multiply our impact on the UT entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Your Team - Portfolio Management

The Genesis Portfolio Management team is responsible for fostering opportunities for and providing services to Genesis portfolio companies. We help our companies go from receiving funding to achieving their goals by leveraging the power of the Genesis network and our unique capabilities as operators. This team is a perfect fit for those deeply interested in the startup community and those seeking a career with a startup, tech companies, or within venture capital.

Genesis is structured to take advantage of the 80/20 rule, whereby 20% of each team member’s time is spent outside of their assigned project area on initiatives that both are both high impact and of personal interest to the team member. In other words, you’ll also have 20% of your time to explore new projects within Genesis.
